My husband is so wonderful! Last night he told me that Tuesday was date night and we were going out to dinner by Allianz. We met by his office, which is located in Schwabing and looks like a neighborhood rather than an office complex. Prior to meeting Brad, I had to go to Maxvorsadt to see our relocation agent as she was able to get our visas finalized and return our passports, which means we are official and able to live in Munich! YEAH!!! We also learned that getting a drivers license may take a little more effort than we originally thought. It appears that California driver licenses are not recognized here and if I want one, I will have to take driving lessons, spend a full day in first aid training and then take the two tests (written as well as driving). However, we may have found a loop hole, which is getting an Illinois driving license as it is accepted here. More to come on this topic.
Brad received some suggestion for dinner from his co-workers and we decided to eat at a Mexican restaurant where we had margarita’s, chips and salsa, yummy burritos and wonderful conversation. He is so sweet and wants to take me on dates at least once a week…I am the luckiest girl in the world! We are still waiting to hear about the apartment, but our relocation agent said it looks good and is just waiting for the lease. We will keep you posted and let you know as soon as we here!
