Brad and I had kaffee together again this morning and I really enjoy this part of the day. I am really happy Brad is taking time to have a cup of joe with his wife in the morning instead of just leaving for work and hopefully this will continue, but only time will tell.
After mapping out my shopping day (Karstadt, H&M, American Apparel, BioMart), I head to the Gern u-bahn and took it to Karlsplatz. I spent all day in the city center shopping and just exploring our new home. I had wanted to purchase a black coat prior to leaving the states, but ran out of time and decided that I would just buy one here. So after visiting about 15 different shops and probably trying on over 35 jackets, I found one at Mango. I then went to the BioMart, which is Munich’s version of WholeFoods. It was actually really nice and had a variety of health foods, but still no hummus and I think I will just have to start making my own. I also found a home goods type store called Depot as well as a cigar shop, which I know Brad will be excited about. I stumbled upon the open market, which was huge and filled with fresh flowers, meats, cheeses, wine, beer, vegetables, fruits and more. It is here every day and there is even a food tasting tour on Fridays and Saturdays.
Arrived home to an email from Brad that had the lease for the flat, super exciting!!! We have both reviewed it and I told Brad to sign and send it to the owners. I hope all of it works out and we are able to move in on November 1st. Heading downstairs for dinner with Brad, so tired of eating out and cannot wait to cook dinner in our new flat.
vermisse euch alle. viel Liebe. – die Gauntletts
